I am a Technical Lead and Manager in the reporting and analytics department at Davies Group.

I manage a team of Reporting Analysts, and I am responsible for overseeing the development and improvement of Data Visualisation, Business Intelligence (BI) and Reporting to Clients and Stakeholders, together with the production and reconciling of monthly financial bordereau.

As a manager I provide training, support, and performance reviews of the members of my team, and make sure the quality of work is accurate and consistent, I also am responsible for the more complex reporting tasks, as well as more high-profile client accounts.

I regularly work with key clients to understand their data and reporting requirements and present the best solution options based on the resources we have available, and I am used to manipulating and presenting large amounts of data in easy-to-understand ways and relevant formats as required.

I have a vast experience using a lot of different reporting systems and tools including QlikView, Qlik Sense and NPrinting, together with SAP Business Objects and Crystal Reports. I also have some experience of using Tableau and Power BI as well.

As well as the reporting and creation of the reports themselves, I also assist the database team in making changes within the different data models, together with the application load scripts and the queries used to populate the data into the reporting software.

I have advanced knowledge of Excel and Visual Basic, and I am very adept at creating macros and basic programs to automate pretty much any function required. If any part of a regular report requires manual intervention or input, I will look to automate it and make it more efficient as far as possible.

I also have a good understanding of SQL code and can create, update and execute SQL scripts as required.

I originally started my career in the legal industry as a paralegal, but due to my high-level of IT expertise and keen interest in technological solutions, I regularly got involved with the development and updating of case management systems, process mapping and the production of management information, which lead me into a reporting and analytical focus. 

I have strong customer service and relationship skills, and I am good at negotiation and problem solving, which can be applied to any role. I am enthusiastic and passionate, and I can apply to myself to any circumstances presented to me.
